Overview

At Labsack Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), customer satisfaction is important to us. This Returns and Refund Policy outlines your rights and our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA) of New Zealand.

By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy, in addition to your rights under New Zealand law.

Your Rights Under New Zealand Law

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, our goods and services must:

  • Be of acceptable quality
  • Be fit for their intended purpose
  • Match their description
  • Be delivered within a reasonable time

If a product fails to meet these guarantees, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. The Fair Trading Act 1986 also protects consumers from misleading or deceptive conduct.

Change of Mind Returns

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect selection, or if you simply decide you no longer want the product.

However, we may choose to offer a store credit or exchange at our discretion, provided the item is:

  • Unopened
  • Unused
  • In its original packaging
  • Returned within 30 days of delivery

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days at info@labsack.co.nz with:

  • Your order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos (if applicable)

Once reviewed, we will provide return instructions. If confirmed faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund — including reasonable return shipping costs.

Returns Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us with your order details and reason for return.
  2. Wait for our confirmation and return instructions.
  3. Package the item securely (preferably in original packaging).
  4. Ship it to the return address provided by our team.

Returned items remain your responsibility until received. Please retain proof of postage.

Exclusions

Items not eligible for return or refund (unless required by law):

  • Items damaged through misuse or improper care
  • Products altered or modified after purchase
  • Sale or clearance items (unless faulty)
  • Digital goods once accessed

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Shipping Costs

You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error or fault on our part. We recommend using a tracked shipping service.
